Profile

スペイン、トレド市生まれ。
筑波大学人間学類卒業。
金融業での仕事を経て、2008年から制作活動に専念。
2009年TAGBOATサマーアワードグランプリ、2011年トーキョーワンダーウォール入選など受賞多数。
現在Sovereing Art Foundation Asia Award 2012ファイナリストに入選。現代美術のギャラリーや百貨店を中心に展覧会を展開中。
2012年からは写真のみならず、光を扱った作品やコンセプチュアルなインタレーションなどの作品も手がける。
2013年Sovereign Asian Art Prize 2013にてファイナリストに入選

Yoi Kawakubo

Born in Toledo, Spain.
Graduated from the University of Tsukuba BA in human sciences.
After working in the finance industry, began creating artworks using photography media in 2008.
Winner of various awards, including TAGBOAT Summer award Grand Prix in 2009, and actually finalist in the Sovereing Art Foundation Asia Award 2012.
He also works such as interface configuration conceptual works and not only photos, dealing with light.

1979　Born and raised in Toledo, Spain. He had lived in Spain until 18 years old.
2003　Graduated from School of Human Sciences, University of Tsukuba
2005　Drop out from Graduate Schools of Tsukuba University to pursue a career in Financial industry.
2007　Left a Financial job and started creative activity.
